Supah Ninjas is an American television series on Nickelodeon . The pilot episode aired as a preview on January 17, 2011. The official start of series production took place on April 16, 2011.
On March 15, 2012, the series was extended for a second season. The season, which will consist of 13 episodes, has been in production since June 18, 2012. On May 7, 2013 it was announced that Nickelodeon had not extended the series for a third season.
action
The series is about the protagonist Mike Fukanaga and his friends Owen Reynolds and Amanda McKay. After Mike's grandfather dies, he receives a mysterious letter from which he learns that he comes from a ninja series. With Owen and his secret love Amanda they fight crime and form the Supah Ninjas team .
Characters
main characters
- Mike Fukanaga
He is the main character in the series and is of Japanese-American descent. Mike is calm and a little shy and part of a Star Wars fan club. He discovers a hologram of his deceased grandfather and learns about his ninja powers. He's had an eye on Amanda McKay since 5th grade. Together with his friends Owen and Amanda, he founds the Supah Ninjas team . His weapons are a pair of nunchaku . In the last episode of season two, he is kidnapped by Kagema. Since the series was discontinued, it is not known whether Mike was saved.
- Owen Reynolds
He is Mike's best friend, partner, and member of the Supah Ninjas and is of African American descent. He has a tendency to overreact and is a good warrior who cracks jokes every now and then. His weapon is a Bō .
- Amanda McKay
She is Mike's longtime crush and team member at Supah Ninjas . She's a cheerleader and when she was kidnapped by The Rhymer , the Supah Ninjas came to her rescue. However, when she found out who her rescuers were, she threatened to tell Mike and Owen that they were the Supah Ninjas. This made her the third member of the Supah Ninjas team . Her family is wealthy and runs McKay Casinos. She kissed Mike in the episode Love Makes You Stupid to distract Katara. In the course of the second season she meets Flint Forster and begins a relationship with him. But she breaks up with him when she learns that Foster is a thief. She develops feelings for Mike, which she has to admit in the episode Spring Fling . Your weapons are a pair of tonfa .
- Grandpa "Hologramps" Fukanaga
He is the sensei of the Supah Ninjas and Mike's late grandfather. He is a hologram and trains the Supah Ninjas in an underground high-tech dojo. He has a twin brother named Kagema, with whom he doesn't have a good relationship. It is learned that he and Kagema fell out because he believes that Kagema cannot handle the "floating sword".
- Yamato
He is a robot trainer who helps the ninjas fight better.

- Martin Fukunaga
He is Mike's widowed father and a police officer. In addition, the ninja genes were skipped in his generation. He's very gullible. In the episode " Love Makes You Stupid " he fell in love with Katara. Over time, he begins to see the ninjas as heroes.
- Connor
Connor is Mike's cousin and the grandson of Grandpa Fukunaga's sister. In the double episode Ishina he turns out to be a member of the Ishina. In the episode, Cousin Connor , Connor returns and tries to play the ninjas off against each other. But Mike finds out and there is a fight between the two. However, Connor escapes together with Kagema Fukanaga and steals Mike's Mon to open the secret entrance to the dojo so that he can remove Mike's sword. At the beginning of the second season Connor tries to break into the dojo, but fails. He tries to make the Supah Ninjas know that his parents are holding Martin Fukunaga hostage. But when the Supah Ninjas find out that Connor was lying, they push him into a cargo box and Mike gets his Mon back. Mike, Owen and Amanda send Connor to Madagascar in his cargo box . In the season two finale, he returns as a spy and learns that the kata is the key to the dojo. He finally wants to steal the sword, but is overwhelmed by Mike, who takes the sword back.
- Cameron Vanhauser
He is the son of the owner of the Empire Condominium. He and Amanda were a couple. Since Cameron doesn't have to worry financially, he leads a pretty easy life. He brings the desired action and variety into his everyday life through small legal or moral transitions. Amanda is for more discipline and declines an invitation to skip class. This makes it clear to Amanda that Cameron will never see the qualities of her in this "normal" life. Amanda ended the relationship. Since no girl has ever ended the relationship with Cameron, he falls into a mental and psychological low, no longer able to cope with everyday life. In the episode Again and again detention it can be seen that Cameron has let himself go completely. He no longer takes a shower or washes, which means that almost no one can stand it around him. Amanda takes pity and goes to Cameron. She suppresses the foul smell and finds some encouraging words that he will still find the right girl, but also emphasizes that it will not be you.
- Julie
Julie is a smart and attractive girl who shares a lot in common with Mike, such as a love of comic books. She is in love with Mike and shows interest in him. When she meets him, he transfers her because Mike found out that Amanda and Cameron have broken up. As a result, caught freezing, she confesses her love to him and kisses him. In the episode Flint Forster , she breaks up with Mike because she has moved away.
- Kelly
Kelly is Amanda's best friend. She knows Owen has a crush on her, but she has no interest in him. As a result of detention , the others realize that they can also have a soft side.
- Kickbutt
A superhero who helps Mike, Owen, and Amanda fight the House of Lords . Kickbutt is a self-proclaimed protector of the population, so his role and name are analogous to the feature film Kick-Ass .
- Quentin
Quentin is a science and a friend of Owen, the nickname Kid Q bears. In Enter the Dojo he discovers the true identity of the Supah Ninjas and promises not to reveal the secret to anyone. From then on he helps them in the dojo. It is also he who rebuilds the dojo after it was destroyed by the Ishinas.
- Flint Forster
A thief who steals from the rich and gives it to charity. Flint has a whole group to help him out. He starts a relationship with Amanda. Before he leaves, he gives her a necklace. In the episode Finding Forster , Flint returns and helps the Supah Ninjas fight a villain. He and Amanda are kidnapped. This reveals Amanda's true identity and learns that she is a Supah ninja. Mike can save them and Flint wants Amanda to go to Paris with him . She refuses the offer and Flint leaves alone. Flint Forster is a reference to Robin Hood .
Bad guys
- Katara
She is a villain who loves to steal securities. She fell in love with Martin Fukunaga, Mike's father, but her love didn't last because of her thefts.
- The Rhymer
He's a bad guy who rhymes while speaking. The Rhymer was haunted by the Super Ninjas in Hero of the Shadows .
- Subsiders
A group that live in the shadow of the city. Owen's friend James joins the group.
- Mr. Bradford
He was the former biology teacher at Mike's high school. He became a monster through an experiment with insect DNA. At the end of the episode he was able to escape.
- Dollhouse
Dollhouse kidnaps people in order to attach them to their necks with a device. With it he can move them like dolls. Mike finds out that Dollhouse never had friends and a lonely childhood that influenced his plan. He is defeated by Mike when he is hit by his own Darrt arrows.
- House of Lords
Is a British criminal group. You are defeated by Mike, Owen and the superhero Kickbutt.
- DJ Elephant Head
A former student of the Supah Ninjas School. His music makes people fall asleep so he can steal a rare gem. Owen finds out and defeats him.
- Eternum
He's a mad psychiatrist trying to turn Mike mad. He fails to do this and is arrested.
- Ishina
Ishina is a ninja clan that competes with the Fukunaga clan. They kidnap Connor and when Mike and the others want to save him, they learn that Connor is a member of the Ishina. They are the ninjas' greatest threat as they are in search of the "floating sword". In the episode Mr. Quake , Ishina learn that Mike, Amanda and Owen are ninjas. The leader of the clan is Kagema Fukanaga. The clan returns in the episode cousin Connor .
- Kagema Fukanaga
Kagema is the leader of the Ishina and the twin brother of Grandpa Fukunaga. He betrayed the Fukanaga family and then became the leader. He manages to flee from Mike and the others in the season finale of the first season together with Connor. In the episode The Ishina Strike Back , he destroys the dojo and his twin brother. In the series finale, he kidnaps Mike. Since the series was discontinued, you don't know what Kagema is up to with Mike.
