Characters
main characters
- Jake Collins
Jake is the newest member of the group, who has to learn in the first episode that monsters exist. He's a good artist as he draws his own comics and is obsessed with comic books. Hayley is not at all enthusiastic about Jake at first, believing that he is just causing difficulties and being a slacker who does not take his job seriously. He thinks of Hayley that she is very bossy. Still, he has a bit of a crush on Hayley, even if he doesn't admit it and doesn't want to show Hayley his true feelings. But at the end of the second season he confesses his love to Hayley and the two become a couple.
- Hayley Steele
Hayley is a popular and friendly girl. She is a cheerleader , plays lacrosse , has danced ballet since she was little, and has numerous other after -school activities. She wants to go to Yale after high school . She is very stubborn and never wants to hunt monsters on the weekend because she has to relax there. She and Jake are good friends, but there are several indications that she has a little crush on Jake. As a result, No Love on Valentine's Day , he gives her to understand that he will never be her boyfriend. But at the end of the second season, Hayley learns that Jake is in love with her and the two become a couple.
- Felix Garcia
Felix is the school nerd. He sees himself as James Bond from The Troop . He is a genius and is well prepared for all monsters. He has no friends except Hayley and Jake. In the episode Speed he had a crush on Eris and they almost kissed, but she had to go back to her dimension. In the second season he leaves The Troop to go to the International Troop.
- Mr. Stockley
Mr. Stockley is the head of the ultra-high-tech troop headquarters hidden below the school. He keeps Jake, Hayley, Felix and Kurby up to date on all current monster activity and makes sure they have the latest in monster fighting technology. However, he panics when he sees a monster. To this day nobody knows Mr. Stockley's first name.
- Cadence Nash
Cadence joins the team in season two. She's a bad girl who causes problems. Also, Cadence is half a monster, just like her brother Chino. She is a Plasma Chrasher and has to eat a lot to meet her needs as a monster. At first, Hayley is the only one who knows Cadence's secret, and she promises Cadence that she won't tell Jake. However, as a result , she and Jake have family ties and in the process he learns that she is a monster. He then sends her and her brother back to the monster world. In the episode On the Other Side , she is released from the monster world.
- Kirby Bancroft-Cadworth III
Kirby will stand by the team in the second season. Before joining the Lakewood Troop, he was part of the Tulsa Troop. He is the son of rich parents.
supporting cast
- Phoebe Collins
Phoebe is Jake's little sister.
- Laurel
She is in For the Love of the Forest and The Monsters I Called Jake's Girlfriend. She's a monster too, but a good monster just like Eris.
- Eris Fairie
She is a monster who appears in the episode No Love on Valentine's Day . She has her eye on Felix. She should return in the second season.
- Lance Donovan
Lance was a former team member who had to give up due to his age. He still wants to catch the monster Behemoth to win the highest troop honor. Even if he can no longer see the monsters, Jake and his team depend on him because he has useful information about the monsters. He appears in the episode Tentacle Face .
- Augustus "Gus"
Gus is the antagonist of the series and the Troops' greatest enemy. Like Felix, he was a nerd. He has a crush on Hayley for being the first to accept him for who he was and sees Jake as a rival. He is attacked in the episode The Master of the Doulos by an extremely dangerous monster who seeks a human as a master and serves him from now on. This gives Gus a lot of prestige and power to usurp. The Troop can free the monster from Gus, but Gus has become suspicious. In the episode Augustus Maximus he returns and wants to take control of the most powerful monsters on the planet and use them for his own evil plans. The Troop can defeat him and he is taken to a mental hospital. In the season finale of the first season he tells that he built a device to attract the monsters. With it he opens a portal and disappears. It is unknown what happened to him.
- Cuddy
He's Jake's best friend.
