action

The 15-year-old True Jackson is hired from the sandwich stand as the head of the fashion label Mad Style . With the support of her high school friends Lulu and Ryan, she designs clothes for teenagers, skateboarders, stars and rock bands, organizes model casting, solves problems in the workplace and grapples with envious colleagues.

Characters

main actor

True Jackson
True is the main character in the series. One day, Max Madigan, the boss of Mad Style , a successful fashion company, comes to Trues sandwich stand and is enthusiastic about the Mad Style clothes that she has changed , which is why he hired her as Vice President of Mad Style's young fashion department. At first, True had great difficulties in her job, but gradually she realized that working life was similar to high school life (jealous employees, gossip, problems, etc.). True is very funny and creative when it comes to fashion, but cooking and baking are not her best skills. At work she often talks about experiences with her family, which usually includes her mother yelling at her father. She has a special ability to make the best of tricky situations. True is secretly in love with the mail boy Jimmy, her boss's nephew.
Louise "Lulu" Johnson
After True fired her first personal assistant, she hired her best friend, Lulu. Lulu is naive, inattentive, and a bit dumb, and therefore a work-wise disaster, so True fired her and hired her again. Despite her sometimes very stupid demeanor, she is an excellent student and has a particular strength for mathematics.
Ryan Laserbeam
Ryan once stuck his chewing gum in True's hair. After True took revenge on him, the two became best friends. Ryan is not very knowledgeable about fashion, but still likes to be in True's office. All he is interested in are video games and that nobody should bother him playing them. He has a hamster named "Truey Elliot Laserbeam" and although he often seems very simple-minded, he proves in one episode that learning is very easy for him if he sees it not as learning but as a quiz show. Ryan often takes True and / or Lulu for ice cream, but then doesn't have any money with him.
Amanda Cantwell
Amanda was an outsider in high school, yet she was the most successful graduate student as she became vice president of Mad Style . She fires her assistants regularly and without explanation and hires new ones. Her office is right next to True's. Amanda doesn't like True. She constantly thinks up new, challenging tasks for True only to see her fail. Every now and then, however, there are situations when the two help each other.
Oscar
Oscar is the concierge for Mad Style . He's funny, usually in a good mood and knows everything about everything. He's on good terms with True, Lulu, Ryan and Max. He doesn't like Amanda very much. From the 2nd season he takes on a leading role.
Max Madigan
Max is the head of Mad Style and the moderator during the meetings in the conference room. He's always nice, gives True good advice, and has the craziest ideas. From the 2nd season he takes on a leading role.
Jimmy Madigan
Jimmy is Max's nephew. He works as a mail courier at Mad Style and is very interested in mail. He thinks True is very talented. He also has a band whose name was initially Diarrhea . After many appearances were rejected, Jimmy thinks about a new name. Ryan's suggestion of fire and ice is quickly accepted. However, the success still fails because they make pretty bad music. One episode leads to a kiss between him and True. From the 2nd season he takes on a leading role. He dates the model Vivian for a while, but later separates from her and goes to the school ball with True.

supporting cast

Kopelman
Kopelman sits in the conference room in every meeting and watches. Why he is always there is not yet known, as he actually never says anything. Max doesn't particularly like Kopelman. He forbids him to do a lot of things at Mad Style, always yells at him and always throws him out. You can almost always see Kopelman at the food.
Mikey J.
Mikey J. is Lulu's boyfriend from season 1 and 2. He keeps saying "I don't know how this goes". Lulu, however, doubts more than once whether Mikey J. really loves her.
Doris Aidem Madigan
Doris Aidem Madigan is the school librarian. She's a little crazy and has a very high-pitched voice. True and Lulu wanted to set her up with Max Madigan. The two fell in love, but when Max proposed marriage to her in the episode The Wedding on Her Knees, she turned it down for the time being, because she wanted something not so traditional. When True made an ironic remark as to whether Max should float along in a garden chair with balloons attached, Doris asked for just that. But that turned out to be difficult, because Max is afraid of heights . Finally he made it and Doris accepted the proposal. The wedding took place in a zoo.

scene of action

The company "Mad Style" is located in Manhattan, New York on the top floor of a large skyscraper. It includes a lobby, many offices, a lounge, a conference room, a secret closet, toilets and a storage room. The ice cream shop "Happy Berry Yum Yum" is located on the ground floor.
