Nicknight (own spelling: nicknight ) is a program window of the Austrian and Swiss (and until November 1, 2018 also the German) Nickelodeon , which has been open every evening from 9:00 p.m. to 5:00 a.m. (until November 1, 2014 ) since October 1, 2014 on October 2, 2017 until 5:45 a.m.) to the older viewers and was a counterpart to the Nickelodeon program. The 14 to 29 year olds were particularly addressed.
The US portfolio was used for many programs. Especially female viewers should be addressed more intensively. However, the broadcast concept has changed over time. Meanwhile Nicknight mainly shows Nick Classics such as B. Spongebob SquarePants or The Legend of Korra
history
On August 20, 2014 it was announced that in addition to the German dubbed version, the English original version would also be available. During the broadcast, you can use the audio button on the remote control to switch between English and German sound, for which a brief notice is displayed at the beginning of the program on the top right of the screen.
The website www.nicknight.de was online from September 18, 2014 to May 2018 . A Facebook profile was operated between August 2014 and October 2019.
On April 1, 2016, the Nickelodeon program was broadcast during the day with the nicknight logo as an April Fool's joke .

The German branch was discontinued on November 1, 2018. Instead Nicknight a time-shifted runs 20:15 to 5:00 MTV window under the name MTV + . Nicknight can still be seen on the Swiss and Austrian Nickelodeon offshoots.

From around 1:00 a.m. until the end of broadcasting at 5:00 a.m. there is a Nicktoons block with the series SpongeBob SquarePants , The Ren & Stimpy Show , Hey Arnold , CatDog , The Biber Brothers and The Penguins from Madagascar and Cosmo & Wanda - When elves help .
Friday specials
Every Friday until December 2017 from 0:15 a.m. there were specials from various series to be seen; the topic should be taken up on special occasions. The specials usually ended around 2:10 am. The first special with Drake & Josh aired on October 10, 2014. On Friday, October 3, 2014, however, repetitions of the evening program could be seen. On October 2, 2015, Nicknight's first birthday was celebrated.
New Years Eve Party
On New Year's Eve 2014/2015, Nicknight broadcast special series such as True Jackson . This special was available from December 31, 2014 at 9:00 p.m. to January 1, 2015 at 5:45 a.m.
Xmas Classic Battle
At Christmas 2014, Nicknight gave viewers a choice. At the so-called Xmas Classic Battle , viewers could vote on what will be shown on Nicknight from December 22, 2014 to December 26, 2014 at 9:20 p.m. and 9:50 p.m. Classic cartoons competed against real-life series.
You could vote from December 10, 2014 to December 18, 2014 for (The winners are highlighted in bold .):
- December 22, 2014: The Ren & Stimpy Show and Drake & Josh (61% to 39%)
- December 23, 2014: Rockos modern life and Zoey 101 (with 65% to 35%)
- December 24, 2014: The Biber Brothers and Big Time Rush (75% to 25%)
- December 25, 2014: CatDog and Victorious (70% to 30%)
- December 26, 2014: Hey Arnold! and True Jackson (with 79% and 21%)

Nicknight is also available in HD on Nickelodeon's slot . Since November 25, 2014, Nicknight HD has also been available on Kabel Deutschland, HD Plus, Sky, Vodafone, Telekom Entertain, Unitymedia, Kabelkiosk, Zattoo and Magine TV.
