Nickelodeon Sverige is the Swedish language channels of Nickelodeon , the children's program of Viacom . On June 18, 2008, it replaced the Scandinavian version of Nickelodeon Scandinavia on all distribution channels.
In addition to the public broadcasters Barnkanalen and its competitor Disney Channel , the station is one of the three most successful children's channels in Sweden.

The Scandinavian branch in Sweden has been available via the analogue distribution channel Viasat since 1996, via the terrestrial channel since 2001 and broadcast its program with TV6 Nature / Aciton World on a frequency between 6:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m.
In March 2008 a license was obtained to broadcast a Swedish version in the time window from 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. The broadcast started on June 18, 2008. Right from the start, the program sequence differed from the Scandinavian offshoot. The broadcaster also differed in the origin of the program. While the Scandinavian version broadcasts from London, the Swedish version broadcasts from the Netherlands.
Between January 2009 and November 2013 a frequency was shared with Comedy Central Sverige , and since then both have broadcast their programs independently of each other on their own frequency. Since November 15, 2013, Nickelodeon has been broadcasting its program until 9:00 p.m., the start of broadcasting remained at 5:00 a.m. On October 1, 2015, the end of broadcasting was moved to 10:00 p.m.
