MTV Music 24 is a digital music channel that is produced in cooperation with MFD Mobiles Fernsehen Deutschland and MTV Networks Germany . The focus is on music videos from the international top 50 music charts.
While MTV delivers the music videos, the MFD prepares the program especially for mobile phones . This explains the almost full screen overlays in the program. Nevertheless, MTV Music 24 can also be received via conventional television on pay-TV within the MTV Unlimited package. There is also a station called MTV Music UK & Ireland , replacing the station MTV Shows .
In the German-speaking area , the station is available in Germany , Austria and Switzerland . MTV Music was already available as a mobile version in Germany from May 1, 2006 to May 31, 2008 . It is not known why the station was discontinued at the time.
From September 30, 2019, the provider Technisat will discontinue its previous package "MTV Unlimited", which also includes MTV Music 24. Alternatively, MTV Music 24 has been available since May 2019 via Diveo, a provider of M7 Germany and a cooperation partner of Technisat, in the "discovery" and "diversity" package.
