Nick Jr. is a German television station that can only be received on pay TV . There series for Nickelodeon's youngest viewers run without commercial breaks. It has been on the air since March 31, 2009 and broadcasts around the clock. The free-to-air children's channel Nickelodeon Germany broadcast a program window of the same name from September 12, 2005 to February 3, 2019. In this, as in the rest of the program, an advertising block ran between the individual programs. On January 9, 2013, the program window and the 24-hour channel got a new design. The free-to-air children's channel Nick closed its Nick Jr. program window in Germany on February 4th. The other German-language program windows Nick Austria and Nick Switzerland are not affected.
