HD Austria is a brand of the M7 Group (Canal + Luxembourg S.àr.l.) , a provider of satellite services in Europe based in Luxembourg. The M7 Group offers various programs in the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Austria, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Hungary. The program offer is prepared specifically for the respective market and tailored to the viewers and the country.

Reception with SAT on Astra 19.2 degree antenna and HD Austria devices
HD Austria offers specially produced devices such as the HD Austria SAT module or the HD Austria SAT receiver and recorder for sale, which make the use of an ORF DIGITAL SAT card obsolete, as a micro SAT card is already integrated. This enables decryption via Viaccess.
Reception with SAT on Astra 19.2 degree antenna and ORF DIGITAL SAT card
HD Austria can also be received with HD Austria -capable Irdeto receivers in conjunction with the new generation of ORF DIGITAL SAT cards (ICE). When purchasing HD Austria-compatible receivers, make sure that the channel list is optimized for receiving HD Austria.
Reception with SAT and Sky card
The HD Austria channels can also be received via the Sky Smartcard (NDS). In addition, the channels are activated free of charge for three months if you take out a Sky subscription from at least Sky Welt or if you purchase a new ORF card. After this time, you can decide whether you want to extend the offer for a fee.
Reception via cable networks
