Kabel eins classics (spelling: kabel eins CLASSICS ) is a German pay-TV broadcaster from ProSiebenSat1 Media that went on air on June 1, 2006. In addition to Kabel eins classics, ProSiebenSat1 Media also operates the two pay TV channels Sat.1 emotions and ProSieben FUN .
The broadcaster Kabel eins classics broadcasts a 24-hour program that focuses on classic films and series from the 1940s to the late 1990s. Current films from the year 2000 are shown once a week on Saturday.
On May 18, 2016, the ProSiebenSat1 Group announced that it would stop broadcasting the station via the Sky platform on June 30, 2016. The reason is “different strategic orientations” between ProSiebenSat1 and Sky. It was therefore decided to end the broadcast at the end of the agreed contract period.

The program of Kabel eins classics is structured by clear theme days of the genres “Thriller / Action”, “Drama”, “Comedy”, “Science Fiction & Fantasy” and “Western” in prime time . In addition, current film highlights will be presented on Saturday in Movie of the Week and classics from the 1950s to 70s on Sunday in Hollywood classics .
