Romance TV is a German-language television broadcaster operated by Mainstream Media AG based in Unterföhring . The operating company of the pay TV channel is Romance TV GmbH & Co. KG. Conceived as a 24-hour special -interest program , this station brings content on the topics of romance, feeling, love, soaps, telenovelas and emotion. The channel received its broadcasting license from the Bavarian State Center for New Media in Munich and started its program on February 14th ( Valentine's Day ) 2008 .
On September 18, 2015, the station was redesigned.

As a program provider, Romance TV GmbH & Co. Kommanditgesellschaft is made up of 60 percent capital from Mainstream Media AG and 40 percent from Gottfried Zmeck, who is also Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Mainstream Media AG. The media law approval period was set until February 13, 2016 after the application was submitted.

World Romance Day
On the occasion of the station's tenth anniversary on February 14, 2018, the station's employees proclaimed the "World Day of Romanticism". March 20th was chosen as the date for the beginning of spring. On World Romantic Day, people are called every year to allow themselves time for togetherness with their partner. The certificate was presented by the entrepreneur and presenter Judith Williams at an anniversary gala.
