The Babaloos (original title: Les Babalous) is a French - Canadian cartoon series that was produced between 1996 and 1998 .

action

At night, when the residents are asleep, household items come to life in little Kevin's house and become the "babaloos". They are then free from human rule and can do what they want. They use this for fun and play. The real reason for their awakening, however, is that they are helping their protégé Kevin and straightening out some of his mishaps and failures.

Characters

  • Kevin is the Babaloos' protégé, for whom they fix his mistakes at night.
  • Mother wipe and baby wipe are the tea towels and can be used for almost everything. The baby is usually the focus of the babaloos' adventures.
  • Small slurp is a tablespoon that often makes up baby mischief.
  • Klein Kritzel is Kevin's ballpoint pen and prevents the nonsense that Baby Wisch and Klein Schlurf want to cause. He is therefore also the most sensible of the babaloos and knows Kevin very well, as he goes to school with him every day.
  • Klein Putz is a toothbrush and the secret crush of Klein Kritzel. It turns out to be cheeky, know-it-all and vain. But she is particularly respected for her adherence to principles.
  • Aunt Pick is a fork that the babaloos have less respect for. She sees herself as a woman of the world and behaves that way in front of others. Nevertheless, she is a lovable lady, but from time to time she has to be saved from idiosyncratic ideas.
  • Mr. Schwabb is an all-purpose cup that everyone else appreciates, but also uses. So he can endure a lot and turns out to be very good-natured.
  • Ms. Saug is a sponge and is valued by others because she has an important role in the household. But she lets the others feel that too.
  • Kevin's slippers are warm and cuddly and sometimes a bit moody and gossipy. But they remain very peaceful during important events.
  • Doctor Schepper is the alarm clock that rings punctually at 7 a.m. and signals to the babaloos that Kevin has to get up.
