Nick Music is an offshoot of the US broadcaster Nickelodeon and the world's first digital music channel for children in the Netherlands and Flanders .

background

Only music videos for children between the ages of 7 and 16 are broadcast. Nick Hits is one of the three digital Nick offshoots in the Netherlands. The other two are Nick Jr. and Nicktoons . Nick Hits broadcasts 24 hours a day. In addition to the station, there is also a CD with the latest artists, similar to the Toggo Music series.

The station plays music by popular, child-friendly international bands and musicians such as Miley Cyrus , Selena Gomez , Miranda Cosgrove , Christina Aguilera , Pixie Lott , Robbie Williams , the Sugababes and The Jonas Brothers. However, there will also be Dutch singers or groups such as ZirkusZirkus, Jan Smit , Nick & Simon , Ch! Pz , KUS or Djumbo.

On March 31, 2010, Nick Hits received a new logo as part of Nickelodeon's international realignment. The station has been called Nick Music since February 1, 2017.

Trivia

In Latin America there was a program window called Nick Hits at the weekend , but this had nothing to do with the Dutch television station "Nick Hits". Nick Hits Latin America featured the best old nicktoons. For the rebranding of the Nickelodeon logo in Latin America, the block was replaced by Nick at Nite (nick @ nite).
