Nick Austria (short for Nickelodeon Austria ; [ ˌnɪkəloʊdiən ], English "cheap movie or music hall", "jukebox", own notation: nick ) is the German-language stations in Austria from Nickelodeon , the children's program of Viacom . The station broadcast from June 1, 2006 to December 31, 2010 from morning to early evening on a common frequency with VIVA Austria , from January 1, 2011 to September 30, 2014 Nick Austria shared the broadcasting slot with Comedy Central Austria . Since October 1, 2014, Nick Austria has its own broadcast slot, depending on the selected reception channel, and thus broadcasts all day (from 9 p.m. as Nicknight ).

The program broadcast by Nick Austria was almost identical to that of Nick Germany at the beginning, the only difference being the regional advertising windows. As a result, the commercial breaks on the two channels were not always exactly the same length. Unlike usual, this meant that the start of the individual broadcasts for Austria was usually delayed by several minutes. Since around the middle of 2016, the same program as Nick Germany has not been broadcast, instead the program is taken over by Nick Switzerland . On April 20, 2020, the content of Nickelodeon Austria's own website was removed and users are instead redirected to the German site.
