Nickelodeon World Protector is a format provided by the Nickelodeon television network . At the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards , the title of Nickelodeon World Protector is awarded for the best environmental protection project imagined by children . Voting takes place in the form of a spectator vote. In the period before the award ceremony, the various projects are presented in reports, specials, etc. Viewers can rate the projects online; the most popular project is implemented.
The format was moderated in 2008 by Marcus Werner , who also moderated the program WOW - Die Entdeckerzone on Super RTL . The English version is called Nickelodeon Big Green Help .
Nickelodeon World Protector is in the context of the school and youth competition Discover the diversity of nature! organized by the German Federal Environment Foundation (DBU). The 2009 campaign was under the patronage of Federal Environment Minister Sigmar Gabriel, and Naturschutzbund Deutschland (NABU) was also involved .
In 2010 the campaign was launched again. It started on April 1, 2010 and ended on April 30 of the same year.
