The television series Das Haus Anubis was a joint production (collaboration between two broadcasters) by the Belgian broadcaster Studio 100 and Nickelodeon , which was broadcast on the German broadcaster Nickelodeon from September 29, 2009 to May 4, 2012 with great success . It is the German version of the Dutch-language television series Het Huis Anubis , which was one of the most successful children's series in the Benelux in 2007 and 2008 .

The age of the target group was eight to 14 years, the series is approved by the FSK in Germany from 6 years. The movie for the series, The House of Anubis - Path of the 7 Sins , on the other hand, did not have an age limit.

In 2012, the series was discontinued after three seasons and a total of 364 episodes.

production

The Belgian series Het Huis Anubis has achieved great success in its country of origin and in the Netherlands . It achieved an average of 35% market share in the target group and also won international awards. The success induced the television station to also create a German version of the series.

The series was not dubbed for this, but with a seven-figure production budget and with German actors in the original sets in Antwerp (Belgium) with the aim of creating an extensive spin-off for "Das Haus Anubis" in German-speaking countries as well as in the Benelux countries. and generate merchandise program. The German actors had to be available at all times for stage, cinema or other versions and also be able to be used for merchandising campaigns without any problems.

Due to the huge success of the series in Germany, Nickelodeon announced the production of a second season. Filming started in May 2010.

On July 28, 2011, it was confirmed on the series' homepage that the series would start in a third season.

As with the Dutch original, the exterior shots were recorded in front of Hof ten Dorpe in Mortsel , Belgium . The outdoor shots with actors were produced in Plopsaland De Panne , as a replica of the house was built here in 2009 as a roller coaster station. Since the second season you can see the roller coaster station more often as a scene separator. This can be recognized by the cobblestones in front of the building and you never see the left side of the building because there are roller coaster rails here. The Pitzemburg campus in Mechelen, Belgium, served as the school for the outdoor shots . All other scenes such as the entire house from the inside and the school were filmed in the studio in Antwerp.
