Thomas Bartling (* 1969 in Duisburg ) is a German actor and speaker.

Life

Thomas Bartling grew up in his native Duisburg. After graduating from high school and the community service , the he performed in a nursing home, he studied medicine at the University of Giessen . After graduating, he worked as a pediatrician at the University Hospital Frankfurt (Clinic I, Clinic for Pediatric and Adolescent Medicine), where he a. a. was on duty in the neonatal unit treating premature babies . He works as a specialist in pediatric and adolescent medicine with a focus on neonatology at the Frankfurt University Hospital.

At first he only did acting as a hobby. He initially attended an acting workshop that a friend gave him as a present. He had his first stage appearance in 2003 at the Frankfurt Cellar Theater as Dymba in Chekhov's one-act play The Wedding . Various other theater productions at off-theaters in Frankfurt / Main followed, including a. at the Mitra Theater Frankfurt and the Gallus Theater , where he played Figaro in The Great Day or Figaro's Wedding (2004) and the drum major in Woyzeck (2006).

From 2003 to 2006 he completed professional speaker training in Frankfurt am Main. In Tatort: ​​Long Live Death (first broadcast: November 2016) he had a supporting role as father Murot. In the ZDF crime series Taunuskrimi he was also seen in the film Die Lebenden und die Toten (first broadcast: January 2017) alongside Tanja Wedhorn in a small supporting role; he played the pilot and father of the family Ralf Hesse, who is brutally shot at a family celebration.

In addition to his work as an actor, Bartling works as a speaker for radio plays and in advertising, as a voice-over for TV documentaries (including ZDF , arte ) and for image films (including BASF , Bosch ). He also works as a voice actor.
