Norbert Ghafouri
Norbert Ghafouri (* 1963 in Kamen , Westphalia , according to other sources Dortmund ) is a German actor , director and acting teacher.
Life
Ghafouri first began studying biology and chemistry , but from 1987 to 1991 he trained as an actor at the Berlin University of the Arts, today Berlin University of the Arts . His first engagement as a theater actor was at the Freie Volksbühne Berlin (1990–1991). There he made his debut alongside Alexander Held as a scheming accomplice Fiscur in the play Liliom by Ferenc Molnár . Further theater engagements followed Ghafouri at the Pfalztheater Kaiserslautern (festival engagement 1991–1993), at the Salzburg Festival (1993/1994), at the Stadttheater Würzburg (festival engagement 1993–1995), at the Ekhof-Theater in Gotha (1997), at the Düsseldorfer Kammerspiele (1997) ) and at the Stuttgart State Theater (1998–2001).
As a theater actor, Ghafouri interpreted a broad repertoire , which included pieces by William Shakespeare and Molière , the German authors of the Classical and Romantic periods , the theater of the turn of the century , but also pieces of the modern and contemporary theater ( Heinar Kipphardt , Botho Strauss ). Since the late 1980s, Ghafouri has also worked regularly for film and television . Ghafouri took on several continuous and recurring series roles. In 1992 he was seen in the ZDF series Siebenbirken . This was followed by continuous series roles as the lawyer Stüter in the cult series Edel & Starck , as senior medical officer Dr. Rieckhoff in Die Rettungsflieger and as presiding judge in the crime series In the Name of the Law . In 2008, he also played a presiding judge in the series The Lawyers .
