Daniel Littau (born April 12, 1991 in the Minden-Lübbecke district ) is a German actor and film producer .

Life

Littau spent his childhood in the East Westphalian town of Espelkamp . Shortly after the fall of the Berlin Wall in 1989, his parents Helena and Paul Littau emigrated from what was then the USSR to Germany. Littau has an older brother and two younger sisters. In the summer of 2003 he began to make his own short films together with Andreas Olenberg ; back then with a webcam that Andreas' father gave them as a present. A short time later they both founded the film production company Camcore , with which they not only produced short films, but also music videos , image films and wedding videos . Today Camcore specializes in the production of motion pictures.

In 2011 Littau finished his school years with the Abitur at the Söderblom-Gymnasium in Espelkamp. He has lived in Berlin since 2013 .

Career

Littau made his first appearance in front of the camera in his own short film productions at the age of 12. After graduating from high school, he tried to study acting, but was rejected by drama schools across Germany.

In 2007 Littau received a supporting role in the RTL early evening series Der Lehrer . This was followed by roles in the television series Hotel 13 on Nickelodeon and in the series The Team co-produced by ZDF . He had his first film experience in 2013 with The Monuments Men and Stromberg - Der Film . In 2016 he was in front of the camera for a commercial for the Nutella food brand . In 2017 he played the leading role of Finn Fischer in the film Phantomschmerz , alongside Sven Martinek , in which he also worked as a producer and screenwriter. The film was produced by the film production company Camcore and was released in German cinemas in 2018. Since autumn 2018 Littau has been in the eighth season of the ARD television series Familie Dr. Kleist can be seen in a continuous supporting role as a consultation assistant.
