Moderation

The moderation is taken over for each country by a moderator known there.

Germany and Austria

Franziska Alber hosted the first season in Germany and Austria. For Nickelodeon she was already in front of the camera for Das Haus Anubis and the movie Das Haus Anubis - Path of 7 Sins as Delia Seefeld and as a presenter at Nickelodeon's Kids' Choice Awards 2011 .

With the start of the second season, Germany and Austria rely on alternating moderation. Patrick Baehr and Julia Schäfle, who became known to Nickelodeon viewers through their appearance as Tom Kepler and Liv Sonntag in Hotel 13 , take turns moderating the program. Schäfle previously hosted the German-speaking part of the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2013 for Nickelodeon .

Switzerland

In contrast to Germany and Austria, the Swiss decided on Roman Aebischer, a presenter from Nickelodeon Switzerland . Together with Franziska Alber and Florian Prokop , he was also a presenter in front of the camera for Nickelodeon at the Kids' Choice Awards 2011 and 2012.

Netherlands

In the Netherlands and Belgium they rely on Patrick Martens. Patrick Martens is best known for his role Mike Bosboom in the Dutch daily soap ZOOP , but also for his many years of moderation on Nickelodeon.

Belgium

In Belgium, Grietje Vanderheijden will moderate. She is known to Belgian viewers mainly through appearances in various series; a series was broadcast on Ketnet , among others . Even during her studies she played in numerous musicals.

Denmark

In Denmark the format will be presented by Christine Milton . She's actually a singer and hadn't worked for Nickelodeon before.

Sweden

In Sweden, Cheeese is hosted by Zillah & Totte (Zillah and her chimpanzee doll Totte). Best known as a ventriloquist, she first appeared with Totte on Sweden's Got Talent in 2007 .

Poland

In Poland, the well-known actor Maciej Musiał will present the program. He played in countless series, films and plays and has also moderated for Polish television.

Clips

The clips of the show were not produced specifically for Nickelodeon, but come from the Canadian entertainment show Just for Laughs , which has existed since 2000. To date, over 3000 episodes have been produced. In Germany, the program was broadcast from September 12, 2005 to June 2, 2006 on NICK Comedy and from January 15, 2007 to March 31, 2008 again on Comedy Central . Since December 8, 2012, Das Erste has also been on air with the original clips.

Trivia

  • A similar format already existed in the Netherlands and Belgium, the Gefopt! and was moderated by Patrick Martens in the Netherlands and Grietje Vanderheijden in Belgium. In contrast to Cheeese, the clips were produced specifically for Nickelodeon in both countries. The format lengths are different: while Cheeese is about 11 minutes long, Gefopt did! two variants, a short (10 minutes) and a long (25 minutes).
