The 2013 Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards were held on March 23, 2013 at the Galen Center at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles . It was the 26th award of the "Blimp" trophies since the first award under the name The Big Ballot in 1987. The show was hosted by the American actor Josh Duhamel . The preliminary reports from the red carpet (pre-show) were moderated by Daniella Monet . In German-speaking countries, the program was broadcast on Nickelodeon a day later . Julia Schäfle reported for Germany .
