Moderator Kevin James (2011)

The Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards 2010 (KCA) took place on 27 March 2010 at Pauley Pavilion on the campus of University of California in Los Angeles instead. It was the 23rd US award of blimps . These are orange, zeppelin-shaped trophies with the logo of the broadcaster Nickelodeon , which were awarded in 19 categories. In addition, Michelle Obama received a silver honorary award, the Big Help Award . Other categories were chosen internationally - for example in German-speaking countries for the favorite television series , the favorite actor and the favorite musician . The presenter of the ceremony was the actor Kevin James . The preliminary reports from the "orange carpet" called Countdown to Kids' Choice! were moderated by Lily Collins and Jeff Sutphen. The announcement of the German winners also took place in Los Angeles by Nela Panghy-Lee and was broadcast in Germany on April 10, 2010.

Live performances

Before the start of the pre-show, Miranda Cosgrove sang the title Kissin U from the “orange carpet” . Rihanna sang a medley of her songs Hard , Rude Boy and Don't Stop the Music . Justin Bieber also performed with his single Baby .

Slime showers

Every year, for amusement, some celebrities are given a green slime shower. Nickelodeon sees this as the highest honor. This year it was the turn of the actors Jackson Rathbone , Jerry Trainor , Lucas Cruikshank , Tina Fey and Steve Carell as well as the singer Katy Perry and the presenter Kevin James . Apolo Anton Ohno was hurled into a slimy basin with a catapult and Nicola Peltz conjured up a slime fountain - in keeping with her role as waterbender in The Legend of Aang .
