Sonny Munroe (Original title: Sonny with a Chance ) is an American television series by the Walt Disney Company . The German premiere took place on May 29, 2009 on the Disney Channel . The first episode Sketchy Begins was left out and instead the second episode West Coast Story was taken as the first episode. The actual first episode, The First Day , only aired on December 19, 2009 on Disney Channel. In June 2009 it was confirmed that there will be a second season of Sonny Munroe, and filming began in November 2009. On November 8, 2009, Super RTL aired the second episode, West Coast Story . The regular broadcast has been running on Super RTL since February 26, 2010. The second season has been broadcast on the US Disney Channel since March 14, 2010. The broadcast of the second season on the German Disney Channel began on September 3, 2010 with the episode Sonny's Song . The first draft saw a leading role called "Molly Monroe", the program was originally supposed to be called Welcome to Mollywood .
