action
Raven Baxter is divorced and is raising her two children, Nia and Booker, alone. Raven moves in with her best friend from school, Chelsea Daniels, and their son Levi. This starts a chaotic but funny life, which is turned upside down when Booker suddenly shows signs of having inherited his mother's clairvoyant abilities.
characters
- Raven Baxter is the mother of Nia and Booker and Chelsea's best friend. Raven is divorced and now lives in Chicago with Chelsea and their son. She did not tell her children about clairvoyant skills in their youth, believing that they would not understand.
- Nia Baxter-Carter is Raven's daughter and Booker's sister. She does not initially believe in her brother's clairvoyant abilities and believes that this is just one of his stories. When Booker has a vision of Nia in which she is hit by a punching bag and later comes true, she believes him.
- Booker Baxter-Carter is Raven's son and brother of Nia. Like his mother, he has clairvoyant skills. He first experiences a vision about Levi at school. He decides not to tell his mother about his clairvoyant skills.
- Chelsea Daniels is Levi's mother and Raven's best friend. She married a man named Garrett, who was later arrested for tax fraud and had an affair with the woman who arrested him. He stole all her money and she decided to move in with Raven.
- Levi Grayson is Chelsea's son. He is confident, arrogant and never afraid to do a little manipulation to achieve his goal.
- Tess is the Baxter / Daniels neighbor and Nia's best friend. Tess is a rapper.

production
First reports of a planned sequel or successor series to Raven looks through , which ran under the original title That's So Raven in the 2000s for four seasons and 100 episodes on Disney Channel , came eight years after the series ended. On October 26, 2016, Disney Channel ordered a pilot of the potential sequel series. At the same time, Raven-Symoné left the talk show The View as a presenter in order to devote herself entirely to the television series, in which she again takes on the lead role of Raven Baxter . Michael Poryes and Susan Sherman act as showrunners , the two creators of Raven looks through , who now also developed the sequel. In November 2016 it was announced that Anneliese van der Pol would also return to the series as Chelsea Daniels .
On April 4, 2017, the Disney Channel gave the green light for a first season. Production for the first season began in late April 2017 at Hollywood Center Studios. In October 2017, the broadcaster extended the series for a second season, which began filming in November 2017. In November 2018, Disney Channel extended the series for a third season, production of which began that same month. In October 2019, Disney Channel extended the series for a fourth season.
