Jessie is an American television series from the Walt Disney Company . The main role is played by Debby Ryan , who became known as Bailey Pickett in Zack & Cody on board . The series is written by Pamela Eells O'Connell , who was also involved in the production of Zack & Cody on board . The first trailer for the series was shown during the premiere of the Disney Channel Original Movie Phineas and Ferb: Across the 2nd Dimension on August 5, 2011. It aired from September 30, 2011 to October 16, 2015 in the United States on the Disney Channel .
A crossover between Jessie and Austin & Ally aired in December 2012 , so the two series are set in the same series universe . The crossover is only counted as an Austin & Ally episode, however.
In the episode Karate Kid-tastrophe , the Tipton Hotel and its manager Mr. Moseby from the series Hotel Zack & Cody appear, with Moseby making an allusion to the two main characters: "I had to deal with annoying twins for six years, three of them on a cruise ship! "
action
Jessie is an 18-year-old girl from a rural Texas town who moves to New York City at the beginning of the series . She works there as a nanny for four children in a multi-million dollar penthouse. One of the children initially has an imaginary friend and another has a monitor animal as a pet. She gets support from the rather lazy butler Bertram and from Tony, a 20-year-old hotel porter who is Jessie's friend at times.
