Debby Ryan
Deborah Ann "Debby" Ryan (* 13. May 1993 in Huntsville, Alabama ) is an American actress , model and pop - singer . She became known u. a. with her roles as Bailey Pickett in the television series Zack & Cody on board and Jessica "Jessie" Prescott in the television series Jessie .
Life
As a child, Ryan worked in various theater productions. When she was seven years old, she moved to Wiesbaden , Hessen , where she was involved in other theater productions, before moving back to the United States at the age of ten . At that time, she decided to become an actress. Due to her three-year stay in Germany, Ryan speaks German.
Ryan lives in Los Angeles , California . Since December 2018 she was engaged to the drummer of the band Twenty One Pilots , Joshua Dun . The couple married on December 31, 2019.
Career
Acting career
After starring in a few commercials, Ryan made her film debut in 2008 with The Longshot . From 2008 to 2011 she played in the Disney Channel series Zack & Cody on board the role of Bailey Pickett , a girl from Kansas . In the same role, she made guest appearances in 2009 in The Wizards of Waverly Place and Hannah Montana, as well as in the television series-based film Zack & Cody . In 2010 she starred as Abby Jensen in the Disney Channel movie 16 Wishes alongside Jean-Luc Bilodeau . She got a leading role in the Dallas Jenkins-produced film What If… A Heavenly Plan that same year.
After the series Zack & Cody was shot on board , Ryan signed a new contract with the broadcaster: From 2011 to 2015, she played the title role in the series Jessie . The series is about an 18-year-old girl from Texas who moves to New York City to realize her dream, but now has to work there as a nanny for four children. Since the television series is set in the same series as Austin & Ally and My Sister Charlie , there were crossovers between the series, so that Ryan had a guest appearance in both series. In 2012 she starred as Tara Adams in the Disney Channel original movie Radio Rebel - Unmistakable .
Music career
In addition to acting, Ryan is also a singer. She recorded the songs A Wish Comes True Everyday , Open Eyes and We Got the Beat for the Disney films The 16th Wish and Radio Rebel - Unmistakable . In 2011 she recorded the theme song Hey Jessie for her series Jessie . Her debut single We Ended Right was released on July 3, 2011 and was created in collaboration with Chase Ryan and rapper Chad Hively.
In 2013 she founded the indie rock band The Never Ending . Their first single, Mulholland Drive , was released on June 1, 2014, and the accompanying album, One , was released on June 24, 2014.
