content
Like every year, Tinker Bell is very excited. The snow owls come to pick up the woven baskets and bring them to the winter forest. Tinkerbell would love to explore this winter forest. As a warm fairy, however, this is forbidden because warm fairies can break their wings there. But she takes an opportunity and secretly crosses the border that separates the summer and winter forest. There Tinker meets Bell Dewey, the guardian of fairy knowledge. She also meets a winter forest girl whose wings shine just like Tinkerbell's. When the girls hold their wings together, they shimmer mysteriously. Dewey shows them that they were born from the same laughter of a baby, Tinker Bell and the winter fairy Periwinkle are sisters. The keeper Dewey hides them from Lord Milori, who orders that warmth fairies be sent back immediately if they come into the winter forest. Unimpressed by Milorie's ban, the two sisters decide that Periwinkle should also have the opportunity to visit Tinkerbell in their world. To do this, Tinkerbell invents a machine that can produce snow. During the visit, however, something goes wrong and the machine fails, so that Periwinkle suffers a fit of weakness and can be brought back to the winter forest just in time. Lord Milorie, who learns of Periwinkle's excursion, forbids the two sisters to ever see each other again and pushes the snowmaker into a river to destroy him. However, this gets caught in a waterfall and, driven by the flow of water, produces vast amounts of snow, which quickly turns into an uncontrollable tornado. While Queen Clarion and Lord Milori tell their respective protégés how this ban came about in the first place (namely when a long time ago a resident of the winter forest and a fairy fell in love, he crossed the border and broke his wings in the process - later it becomes clear that the lovers are actually Lord Milori and Queen Clarion), it suddenly starts to snow in the fairy forest. The fairies can destroy the snowmaker, but the cold has already started to spread in the valley of the fairies and threatens to destroy the fairy shine tree, which would mean that no fairy shine could be created anymore and the fairies thus their ability to fly forever would lose. While the fairies try to get away from the cold, Tinkerbell returns to the winter forest again to ask the winter fairies for help. Ultimately, through the use of frost, the winter fairies succeed in enveloping the fairy shine tree and protecting it from destruction. As the fairies celebrate the rescue, it becomes clear that Tinkerbell broke a wing while visiting the winter forest. However, this can ultimately be healed again by the mysterious luminosity of the pairs of wings of the two sisters. In the end, Lord Milori decides to lift the ban on visits. In the future, the sensitive fairy wings will be protected from the cold by frost when visiting the winter forest.
Reviews
“The animated children's film in 3D offers turbulent, magical and stimulating entertainment for the whole family. The directing duo Roberts Gannaway and Peggy Holmes treats not only a divorce but also climate change in a sensitive and constructive way under the guise of a fairytale story of the sudden icing of the warm fairy kingdom. Looking for the solution to difficult global problems in improving human coexistence may seem a bit naive in adult eyes, but the positive message here comes from the heart and fits perfectly into the Christmas season.
