content

After their hibernation, Kenai and Koda wonder about the spring mood of the other forest dwellers. The moose Benny and Björn have also fallen in love with two moose ladies. While they are trying in vain to please them and want tips from Kenai, this one meets Nita, his best friend from childhood. She wanted to marry a boy from her village and got a sign from the ghosts that this wedding cannot take place while Nita's heart is still tied to someone else. Nita now has to burn a wooden amulet at the waterfalls for the equinox in Kenai's company, which he had once given her there. The shaman lent her the language of the animals in order to find Kenai and to be able to speak to him. After an initial refusal, Kenai finally comes with her. But difficulties soon arise, first Nita loses her bag, which is floating down the waterfall, out of fear of the water, then the amulet is stolen by a raccoon. As they make their way to the waterfalls, Nita and Kenai notice how well they still get along. Koda feels sidelined. Finally he runs away in despair, believing that Kenai wants to go back to the people. Kenai and Nita look for him and talk to him. Kenai promises never to leave his brother. Arriving at the waterfalls, Nita burns the amulet and then loses her ability to talk to animals. She goes home deeply sad. Kenai is also unhappy. Koda realizes this and tries to speak to his mother's ghost. He asks her to turn Kenai into a human so that he can be happy again. Then he goes to the village to look for Nita. She has now realized that she loves Kenai and cancels the wedding. Kenai panics when he learns from the moose that Koda has gone to the village: the hunters would kill him immediately. Indeed, Koda is being persecuted. Nita tries in vain to help him, only when Kenai appears he is saved. But Nita's fiancé is now chasing Kenai and driving him over the edge of a cliff. Nita goes to him and lets him understand that she loves him. But since he doesn't want to leave his brother alone, Nita decides to perform the spell the other way around: Instead of Kenai's transformation into a human, Nita is now a bear. She receives her father's blessing and moves into the forest with the bear brothers. The two elks were also lucky with their loved ones.
