Aladdin and the King of Thieves (original title: Aladdin and the King of Thieves ) is the second sequel to the cartoon Aladdin by the Walt Disney Company and was released in 1996. Directed by Tad Stones. The film is reminiscent of the novel Ali Baba and the Forty Robbers .
action
Princess Jasmine and Aladdin want to get married. However, the wedding is disrupted by the band of robbers " The Forty Robbers ". The thieves are looking for the magical golden scepter that is said to be among the wedding favors. This scepter can conjure up the oracle which grants a person the answer to a question. Aladdin, Iago, Abu and Dschini drive away the thieves. Aladdin learns from the oracle that his father Cassim is still alive, and so Aladdin sets out to find him.
He can catch up with the robbers at the Sesam cave and enter there. He, Abu, the carpet and Iago will soon be caught. He reveals himself to Cassim as his son, whereupon the latter gives him a chance to rescue: He has to defeat the best fighter of the robbers, the giant Saluk. Aladdin crashes Saluk over a deep cliff into the sea and is taken in by the robbers. Cassim explains to him the reason for the attack on the palace: He wants to ask the oracle for directions to the hand of Midas. This hand, the treasure of treasures, is an artifact that turns everything it touches into gold. To find this artifact and bring prosperity to his family, Cassim had once left his family. Now he follows his son to attend his wedding. Cassim is warmly received by the residents. However, Saluk survived and tells Razul, the captain of the palace guard, with the promise of fame from the Sesame Cave. Cassim tries to steal the oracle and is caught. Razul moves to the Sesame Cave and captures many robbers. Aladdin helps his father break out, but gives him the choice of choosing his son or the treasure. He chooses the hand, and Aladdin returns to Agrabah to face his judgment.
Cassim returns to the Sesam Cave with Iago, but is captured by Saluk and the rest of the 40 robbers. The oracle shows them the way to the hand of Midas. However, Aladdin and his friends can pursue them and defeat the robbers. In a final showdown, Saluk is turned into gold by the hand of Midas, and they escape from the sinking island. This time Cassim chooses his son and sinks Midas' hand in the sea.
He is attending his son's wedding, and while Aladdin and Jasmin are flying on their honeymoon, Cassim and Iago are on a new adventure.
