content
Wendy is now an adult and has a daughter named Jane and a young son named Daniel. She enthusiastically tells the two stories of Peter Pan and Neverland, since she was there once as a child. Then the Second World War begins and Jane and Daniel's father has to go to war as a soldier. The war turns Wendy's daughter Jane into a realist, a girl who refrains from stories and fun until London collapses. But Daniel is still an avid listener of his mother's Peter Pan stories, which Jane cannot understand. Since it is too dangerous in London, the government orders that all children be sent to the country, which Wendy tells Jane, whereupon Jane is horrified and sad. Peter Pan's nemesis, Captain Hook, has little Jane kidnapped by his assistant Smee into the fantasy realm of Neverland, who mistakenly thinks she is Wendy, in order to get revenge on Peter Pan, the fairy nosy and the haunted boys after they had robbed him of his treasure had. Peter Pan saves them. Now Jane cannot fly back home unless she believes in fairies. In a game called "Treasure Hunt" Jane delivers Peter and the haunted boys to Hook after she had previously wanted to leave Neverland and signed a contract Hooks used to get Peter Pan. Because Jane does not believe in fairies, the light from Naseweis begins to go out. Jane regrets this very much and saves Peter and the haunted boys. She now believes in fairies, which saves Naseweis. Naseweis makes Jane fly and Hook falls into the sea, where he is chased by a large octopus that tries to eat him. Jane returns home. Peter follows her and finally sees Wendy again. Eventually, Jane and Daniel's father returns home.
reception
Peter Pan: New Adventures in Neverland grossed almost 75 million US dollars worldwide. America accounted for 48,423,368 US dollars and overseas US $ 26.5 million. The budget for the film was estimated to be about $ 20,000,000.
"Uninspired follow-up film to the famous Walt Disney animated film classic Peter Pan's cheerful adventure" from 1953, which underpins the thin plot with unconvincing characters, moderate songs and a questionable framework. "
