John Flansburgh
John Conant Flansburgh (born May 6, 1960 in Lincoln , Massachusetts , USA) is an American musician. Also known as "Flans" or "Flansy" and under the pseudonym Rolf Conant .

Flansburgh forms the band They Might Be Giants with John Linnell . He is often referred to as the extroverted John.
Before founding They Might Be Giants , he played for a very short time in the early 1980s with the bands The Blackouts and The Turtlenecks .
During an involuntary hiatus in the band They Might Be Giants between 1996 and 1998, due to an injury to John Linnell, Flansburgh played in his hastily sprung up band Mono Puff .
Furthermore, together with his wife Robin Goldwasser and Julia Greenberg, he produced the musical People Are Wrong! on the legs.
