In his first movie, which he also directed, he took up these two characters again. Moranis is active as a musician. In 2005 his album was released The Agoraphobic Cowboy with country songs and comedy deposits, which at the Grammy Awards 2006 as Best Comedy Album was nominated. His klezmer album My Mother's Brisket followed in 2013 , on which Moranis deals with his Jewish origins in comedy songs.
