Barbara Adolph

Barbara Adolph (born June 8, 1931 in Schneidemühl ) is a German actress and voice actress .

Life

During her acting training, she was offered roles as a supporting actress in film and television productions before she first appeared on a theater stage in Greiz in 1952 . This was followed by engagements in Gera , Karl-Marx-Stadt and at the Deutsches Theater in Berlin . At the same time, she developed into a popular actress in DEFA feature films in the 1960s , especially in comedies.

In 1978 she moved to the Federal Republic of Germany and became a freelance actress at the Renaissance Theater in Berlin. In addition, she was mainly active in television productions such as Our Teacher Doctor Specht and Liebling Kreuzberg .

Barbara Adolph has already dubbed several times for DEFA in the GDR and also took on numerous dubbing roles after she moved to the Federal Republic. She spoke several times for Vanessa Redgrave , Louise Fletcher , Marian Seldes , Vera Miles and Lauren Bacall . Since Bettina Schön's retirement , she took over the dubbing of several actresses from her, for example Maggie Smith and Olympia Dukakis . Adolph also dubbed Ellen Geer , Joanna Miles , Fionnula Flanagan and Claudette Nevins several times in television series . In total, she stood behind the microphone for over 400 roles.
