Wendie Malick
Wendie Malick (* 13. December 1950 in Buffalo , New York as Wendy Malick ) is an American actress and former model .
Life
Wendie Malick was born in Buffalo to a former model. Her father was in trade. She attended Williamsville South High School. In 1972 she graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University . She also attended Syracuse University . After completing her studies, she started working for the Wilhelmina modeling agency . She got her first acting experience in 1982 in the film A Little Sex .
Malick was married to Mitch Glazer, an actor and director, from 1982 to 1989. She has been married to Richard Erikson since 1995. She and her second husband supported a medical center in the Congo. They are also committed to a women's shelter in Tijuana . Malick is very fond of animals. She lives in the Santa Monica Mountains with three dogs, two horses and a cat . She is also committed to animal welfare .
Career
In 1982, Malick applied for the role of Diane Chambers in the series Cheers , which Shelley Long got. She played her first leading role in 1990 in the series Dream On as Judith Tupper Stone . She played this role until the end of the series in 1996. For this role, she won four CableACE Awards for best actress in a comedy series.
From 1997 she impersonated the role of Nina Van Horn in Just Shoot Me - editorial team , which she held in all 149 episodes. Meanwhile, she was nominated for Best Supporting Actress in 1999 and 2002 for a total of five Emmys . In 2003 and 2004 she was seen in a total of 10 episodes of Frasier as Ronee Lawrence . Frasier was an offshoot of the Cheers series .
In 2005, she presented the role of Naomi Clark on the side of John Stamos into Jake in Progress . In the same year she was part of the main cast of Modern Men . However, both series were canceled in 2006 after two and one seasons respectively. Also in 2006, she was in a speaking role in the cartoon adventure comedy Im Rennstall das Zebra loses as Clara Dalrymple . She also had speaking roles in Alvin and the Chipmunks 2 , Fillmore! and Batman of the Future .
Since 2005 she can also be heard in commercials for the Marshalls department store .
Malick also appeared in the sitcom Big Day , in which she appeared as Jane . However, out of 13 episodes produced, only 12 were broadcast. However, Malick won a Gracie Award for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series for this role .
In the years 2010 to 2015 Wendie Malick was on the side of Golden Girls actress Betty White , Jane Leeves and Valerie Bertinelli in the sitcom Hot in Cleveland on TV Land to see. The role brought her in 2010 along with the main cast of Hot in Cleveland was nominated for a Screen Actors Guild Award , a: the Screen Actors Guild Award for Outstanding Performance By An Ensemble in a Comedy Series . The series ended in 2015 after 128 episodes, Malick was seen in 125 episodes of the series.
In her acting career, Malick had numerous guest appearances on television series . Between 1985 and 1989 she appeared in seven episodes of Kate & Allie and between 1989 and 1994 as a recurring role in Baywatch - The Lifeguards of Malibu . In 1987 she was featured in an episode of An Angel on Earth . She had other appearances in MacGyver , New York Cops - NYPD Blue , Crazy About You , Seinfeld , CSI: On the trail of the perpetrators and Law & Order and Pushing Daisies .
There are also numerous films. She was seen in Funny About Love , The Ghosts I Called… , Hello, Mr. President , Apollo 11 , Shopaholic - The Bargain Hunter and What Happens Next .
