Pitch is an American drama series based on ideas by Dan Fogelman and Rick Singer . It is about the first female baseball player to play in the MLB . The first broadcast of the ten-part first season took place from September 22 to December 8, 2016 on US broadcaster Fox . In May 2017, the broadcaster announced the discontinuation of the series after a season.
