Life

Luísa Madade was born on April 29, 1985 in the northern Mozambican city of Tete. Madade has been enthusiastic about dance for years.

In 2004 she founded her own dance school called "Sweet Dance" and worked as a dancer for the Mozambican artist Rogério Denis (McRoger). Two years later she published her first song under her stage name Liloca with the title "Como Ela Dança" (pt .: How she dances), followed in 2007 by the next song "Muyive" (Xangana: Thief). Her first actual music album followed in 2007, it was titled Tic Tac é Meu Style. In 2009 she released her second album "Magnifica". In the following years Liloca published numerous other singles, which she brought out in 2012 in the album "Mulher Moçambicana".

Liloca has won various national music prizes and sees herself as the “singer of the people”, but her success is still limited to the Mozambican market - her goal, she says, is to change this in the future. Her most successful songs include “Muyive”, “Como Ela Dança”, “Tic Tac”, (from the album Como Ela Dança ), “Ser Segunda” (from the album Muyive ) and “Tá Doce”, “Mulher Moçambicana” and “Mufana” “(From the album Tic Tac é meu Style ).

In 2015, the singer was heavily criticized for performing at a festival on International Children's Day in Maputo, where she performed a heavily physical choreography. Many media saw this as inappropriate, calling their appearances "porn music shows" and as a symptom of a child-unfriendly society. Individual FRELIMO members then expressed their incomprehension that the singer was allowed to accompany President Filipe Nyusi on a state visit to Portugal.

Liloca lives and lives today in the capital Maputo .
