Ali Larter
Alison Elizabeth "Ali" Larter (born February 28, 1976 in Cherry Hill , Camden County , New Jersey ) is an American actress , who is mainly known by portraying the roles of Niki Sanders and Tracy Strauss in the television series Heroes (2006-2010 ), as well as Clear Rivers in Final Destination (2000) and Final Destination 2 (2003) and as Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Extinction (2007) and Resident Evil: Afterlife (2010).
life and career
The daughter of a housewife and a freight forwarder began a career as a model at the Ford Models agency at the age of 14 . At 17 she lived in Tokyo for some time . At 18, she moved to Los Angeles with her then boyfriend and took acting classes. In November 1996, Ali Larter became known through the photos of a satirical, fictional report in Esquire magazine about an invented young actress named "Allegra Coleman" and her equally invented activities in Hollywood . In 1997 she made her TV debut in an episode of the series Susan with Brooke Shields . Appearances in the television series Chicago Sons , Chicago Hope , Just Shoot Me and Dawson's Creek followed .
Ali Larter's first feature film was the commercially successful teenage and football drama Varsity Blues in 1999 , in which she appeared dressed only in whipped cream in one scene. In the same year she was seen in two more teenage films and in the horror film Haunted Hill , which also proved to be relatively successful commercially. In 2000 she became famous as Clear Rivers in the horror film Final Destination , which was also a commercial hit and earned her a Young Hollywood Award for Best Breakthrough Performance . Roles in the comedies Naturally Blonde and Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back followed the following year , as well as in the western American Outlaws . Also in 2001 she appeared in New York City in the feminist play Vagina Monologues .
In 2003 she played the Clear Rivers again in Final Destination 2 , which was able to build on the success of its predecessor. In other parts of the series, however, it no longer appeared. In 2005 she played a supporting role in the comedy Something Like Love with Ashton Kutcher and Amanda Peet . In the following years, Larter was, in addition to her television career, mainly in independent films such as Confess (2005) and Homo Erectus (2007) to be seen.
From 2006 to 2010 Ali Larter played in the science fiction television series Heroes initially a dual role as Niki / Jessica Sanders and from the third season a new part as Tracy Strauss . For her role in the series, she was nominated for a Saturn Award for "Best Supporting Actress" in 2006 and was nominated for a Teen Choice Award in the category Choice Television Actress: Action Adventure in 2008 and 2009 . The series was discontinued in 2010 after four seasons.
In 2007 she starred on the side of Milla Jovovich in the horror thriller Resident Evil: Extinction . In the same year she embodied in Crazy , the biography of the guitarist Hank Garland , his wife Evelyn. In 2009 she played alongside Beyoncé Knowles and Idris Elba one of the leading roles as stalker Lisa Sheridan in the thriller Obsessed , which topped the US box office charts on the opening weekend. Larter and Beyoncé Knowles received an MTV Movie Award in the Best Fight category, but both received nominations for the negative Golden Raspberry Award . 2010 Larter was once again in her role as Claire Redfield in Resident Evil: Afterlife to see the fourth part of the series.
Larter has been married to actor and author Hayes MacArthur since August 2009 , with whom they have a son (* 2010) and a daughter (* 2015).
