From 1970 to 2011, over ten thousand episodes were created. In early 2013, the series was converted from a television series into a web series and should be available from April 29, 2013 on The Online Network via Hulu and iTunes . The idea for the series comes from Agnes Nixon , who is also responsible for the daily soap Love, Lies, Passion , which is also based at ABC. The soap opera is broadcast internationally in South Africa on the television channel SABC 3 . The series was not broadcast in Germany.

In the early years, the series was broadcast in 30 minutes. In April 1977 the episodes were expanded to 60 minutes. The series was first produced in the 1970s by the TV station AMC and sold to ABC in January 1975. In the 1970s, the television series had such high ratings in the United States that it was ranked # 1 as a daily show in 1978/1979, according to Nielsen Ratings .

With the death of actress Ruth Warrick in January 2005, only two actors from the opening 1970 episode are currently on the show: Susan Lucci and Ray MacDonnell . On November 12, 2008, the soap opera celebrated its 10,000 episode with the appearance of Agnes Nixon on the show and a special tribute to Myrtle Fargate .

Through mutual crossover , All My Children is part of a series universe of All My Children, General Hospital , General Hospital: Night Shift , Love, Lies, Passion , Loving - ways of love , Port Charles and The City .
