Joshua "Josh" David Duhamel (born November 14, 1972 in Minot , North Dakota ) is an American actor and is best known for his role in the television series Las Vegas .

Life

After his parents divorced, Duhamel grew up with his mother. He graduated from Minot State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and then moved to California where he began modeling for fashion magazines. In 1997 he won the IMTA Model of the Year award.

From 1999 to 2002 Duhamel played the main role in the ABC - soap opera All My Children , 2003, he landed a role in the television series Las Vegas . After a first leading role in the independent film The Picture of Dorian Gray , he had a crush on Tad Hamilton in 2004 , in which Kate Bosworth and Topher Grace also worked , only moderate success. He also had a success with the love comedy So plays life , which appeared in 2010 , where he had another leading role alongside Katherine Heigl .

He became known to a large film audience for his role as US Army Ranger William Lennox in the Transformer films parts 1-3, and in Transformers: The Last Knight. In the first three films he rose from captain to major to Lt. Colonel and led the dangerous operations on site as the person in charge.

In 2004 Duhamel split from model Kristy Pierce. In addition to acting, he also runs his own restaurant, 10 North Main , in his hometown.

On January 10, 2009, he married Stacy Ann Ferguson , who is known as a singer by the stage name Fergie. On August 29, 2013, the two had their first child, a son. The couple split in 2017.

On March 23, 2013, he hosted the Nickelodeon Kids' Choice Awards in Los Angeles.
