Topher Grace
Christopher John "Topher" Grace [ ˌtɔˑ.fɐ.ˈɡɹæɪːs ] (born July 12, 1978 in New York City ) is an American actor who became famous for the role of Eric Forman on the sitcom The Roaring Seventies .
Life
Topher Grace was born in New York City to John and Patricia Grace but grew up in Darien , Connecticut . In Massachusetts , where he went to school, he began in high school - musicals to act. Because he didn't like being called "Chris", he let himself be renamed "Topher" during his school days. He then attended the prestigious Brewster Academy in Wolfeboro , New Hampshire and the University of Southern California . He dropped out of college in 1998 because Bonnie and Terry Turner cast him for their sitcom The Wild Seventies . Since their daughter had attended the same high school as Grace, they had noticed him when he starred for the school in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum .
Topher Grace got his first minor film roles as a drug addict in Steven Soderbergh's Traffic - Power of the Cartel (2000) and a small supporting role in Ocean's Eleven (2001). Later films with bigger roles should follow, for example in 2003 in Mona Lisa's smile , in 2004 in Total Crush with Tad Hamilton and Ocean's 12 with a guest appearance. In the same year he played his first leading role alongside Dennis Quaid in the comedy Reine Chefsache . He also hosted Saturday Night Live on January 15, 2005. He played a villain, Venom , for the first time in the blockbuster Spider-Man 3 . The film was released in 2007. In 2010, Grace starred in Valentine's Day and Predators . Further film and television appearances followed. His work includes more than 50 productions.
In May 2016, Grace married his fiancée Ashley Hinshaw . On November 1, 2017, the two parents had a daughter.
