Rosalee Futch and Pete Monash work in a supermarket in a small town in West Virginia . Pete is secretly in love with Rosalee, but he's too shy to reveal his feelings to her.

Rosalee Futch wins a date with movie star Tad Hamilton one day . She meets with him in California and talks to him about values ​​in life. The movie star is very taken with Rosalee and falls in love with her. He follows her to West Virginia, where he buys a farm.
