Octavia Lenora Spencer (born May 25, 1972 in Montgomery , Alabama ) is an American actress and Oscar and Golden Globe award winner.

Life

General

Spencer was born in Montgomery , the sixth of seven children . She graduated from Jefferson Davis High School in 1988 and received her BA in Liberal Arts from Auburn University .
