occupation

Titus is an American sitcom that was produced in three seasons from 2000 to 2002.

action

The auto mechanic Christopher Titus experiences the ups and downs of life with his girlfriend Erin, his mentally retarded half-brother Dave and his buddy Tommy. In doing so, however, his dad, Papa Titus, always gets in his way, who always makes him aware that Christopher is a failure and a "wimp".

background

Christopher Titus became known overnight with his own sitcom . He processed large parts of his real life in the series. Because his father is also called Kenneth, his mother is Juanita, and since 1991 he has been married to a woman named Erin. He has two children with her.

Characteristic are the flashbacks in which Titus, Dave and Tommy are children and are "hardened" by Papa Titus through electric shocks or the like as well as the black and white scenes integrated into the episodes in which Christopher Titus is in a small room, in which there is only one chair (the basic structure of an electric chair). Here he often quarrels with himself and leads sarcastic and funny (self) conversations with the TV viewers. At the end of each episode he turns off a light bulb that hangs from the ceiling.
