Amy Smart
Amy Lysle Smart (born March 26, 1976 in Topanga , California ) is an American actress and former model .
life and career
Amy Smart is the daughter of Judy and John Smart and has a brother named Adam. She took ballet classes for ten years before starting her modeling career in Milan and New York City . She had her first brief appearance in 1996 in the two-part TV series Seduction to Murder , where she played a schoolgirl. After that, she had her next television appearance on MTV's Rock the Vote , her first lengthy role, with which she became known, she received in 1999 with Varsity Blues . She also played in the first two seasons of the US television series Felicity . In the second season of the sitcom Scrubsshe played the recurring supporting role of Jamie Moyer .
Smart's best-known films include the comedies Road Trip and Rat Race - Der nackte Wahnsinn , the thriller Butterfly Effect , and the drama Bigger Than the Sky . In January 2006, the film A best man to fall in love with came into German cinemas. Also in 2006, Smart played in the action film Crank and 2009 in the sequel Crank 2: High Voltage alongside Jason Statham . On December 12, 2006, the film Wild X-Mas (Just Friends) with Ryan Reynolds was released in German cinemas. In 2012 she appeared in front of the camera as Lilian Hart in the mystery thriller Columbus Circle . She starred in Takashi Shimizu's horror thriller Flight 7500 in 2014.
Smart is committed to the environment. She is spokeswoman for the conservation organization Heal the Bay in California, which cares for the conservation of nature on the coast of California. She is also on the board of directors of the Environmental Media Association and the Step Up Women's Network , which works to advance women .
Smart has been married to Carter Oosterhouse since September 10, 2011 . In 2016 they became parents of a daughter.
