Jason Statham [ ˈsteɪθəm ] (born July 26, 1967 in Shirebrook , Derbyshire , England ) is a British actor and former diver .

Life

Jason Statham was born the first son of a dancer and a singer . Prior to filming, he was a professional diver and a member of the UK national team for twelve years. At the Commonwealth Games in 1990 he took part in three disciplines and achieved eighth place on the one-meter board as the best placement. He now occupied twelfth place in the world rankings.

Prior to his acting career, Statham also modeled for advertising campaigns and cast in TV commercials.

He lived with British actress Kelly Brook in Los Angeles for seven years and has been in a relationship with British top model Rosie Huntington-Whiteley since 2010 . In January 2016, the couple announced their engagement. Their son was born on June 24, 2017.

Film career

Jason Statham made his first film appearance in 1998 in the crime comedy Bube, Dame, König, grAS . The French Connection fashion collection , which the Briton had recently worked for, was a sponsor of the film and had successfully proposed Statham to director Guy Ritchie .
