Ten years later, music producer Chris turned from a low-voiced but kind-hearted loser from school into an arrogant heartthrob. When he returned to his old homeland, Chris was only supposed to accompany the less talented pop star Samantha to Europe, but the stopover in New Jersey exposes old wounds: Jamie is as beautiful as ever, but Chris' proven macho behavior comes from his old childhood sweetheart not at all. When a rival with his former schoolmate Dusty comes on the scene, Chris threatens to be pushed again by his beloved to the sideline "we can stay friends".
