Lynne Thigpen

Cherlynne Theresa "Lynne" Thigpen (born December 22, 1948 in Joliet , Illinois , † March 12, 2003 in Marina del Rey , California ) was an American singer, film, television and theater actress.

Life

Lynne Thigpen started her career as a singer in the off-Broadway musical Godspell . This was followed by appearances in movies ( Tootsie , Der knallharte Prinzipal , Sweet Liberty and Hello again - Back from the Beyond ) as well as in television series , including in the LA Law series - star lawyers, tricks, trials . She played the role of Grace Keefer in the television series All My Children . In 1991 she played "Miss Hudson" on the Bill Cosby show , her first appearance here was the episode Theo's new job (1 & 2) .

The comedy Die Wutprobe , in which she starred in the role of judge alongside Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson , didn't come out until after her death. In the television series The District - Operation in Washington , she played her last role as Ella Farmer , the right-hand man of Police Chief Mannion.

Thigpen died unexpectedly of a cerebral haemorrhage in 2003 .
