Fillmore! is an animated series of the Walt Disney Company , first broadcast in 2002. The series has 26 episodes and focuses on the one used in the US system of hallway monitor as persiflage to older American cop shows. Each episode is divided into three acts .

action

The X-Middle-School is haunted again and again by bullies and vandals. The " security team" clears up all these "criminal cases" on behalf of Principal Dawn S. Folsom . In this pastiche, Folsom roughly corresponds to a prosecutor or mayor, Junior Commissioner Vallejo corresponds to the chief of police, Cornelius Fillmore and Ingrid Third as the main characters are the detectives and Danny O'Farell , Karen Tehama and Joseph Anza correspond to colleagues who may have special skills.

All members of the “security team” wear the orange sashes worn by hall attendants in US schools; They also have badges like police officers with which they identify themselves for the sake of the dramaturgy and which they have to give back when they are suspended - just as parody of TV police series.

In each episode, the team investigates different cases such as vandalism , theft and blackmail . It is noteworthy that the cases mostly represent a child-friendly version of reality (instead of illegal street races, illegal frog races). A program is subdivided into three numbered “acts”, which have their own title and are briefly announced. Many cases are very tricky until they are resolved and the wrong suspects are always targeted.

If the right perpetrator is found and the sequence of events is reconstructed, there is always a chase with a high level of property damage .

The X-Middle School is considerably larger than many average American schools. There are many clubs, associations and working groups which, as luck would have it, all walk around the corridor with their projects exactly when a suspect is being pursued.

Characters

main characters

Cornelius Fillmore is an African American . He is bald and wears a green t-shirt, jeans and glasses that cannot be seen through his eyes. Fillmore used to be notorious as a school rabble himself. He has eight offenses in his file: chalk theft, locker manipulation, milk forgery (no dairy production), gave outrageous answers, chocolate theft (with Sunny), skipped school, big poker ring for comics and he dumped chili sauce in the gym. He also took money etc. from students (with penny).

The first time he was detained for two months. Later he cleaned himself up, broke away from his old “friends” and joined the “security team”. He is a very skilled kung fu fighter, a master at stealth and camouflage . To the annoyance of Junior Commissioner Vallejo , Fillmore often causes high property damage in car chases. He is mostly just called Fillmore , which is also related to the title. Before Ingrid, Fillmore had another partner named Wayne Liggett, who moved to Tennessee .

Ingrid Third is a somewhat melancholy student who always wears a black dress and has a photographic memory . She is the partner of Cornelius Fillmore . In contrast to Fillmore , she is called by her first name and has a 16 year old sister named Ariella.

Ingrid is new to school at the beginning of the series after planning to go to a sports boarding school in Maine . According to the first episode, she is also said to have been a rebel who threw stink bombs in her previous school. Despite her previous school career, Ingrid is the best student at the school. Ingrid's school file says that she spent a year in Nepal. But what nobody knows is that she was in a reformatory all year round. Therefore, she also masters a few tricks.

Horatio Vallejo is the somewhat plump "Junior Commissioner". The Mexican American is a passionate drinker of cocoa , eats ravioli , goes fishing and heads the security force. He is very strict as he is also held responsible by Prinicipal Folsom if something breaks in the school equipment . He always yells: "Fillmore!"

Secondary characters

Danny O'Farrell is a crime scene photographer and otherwise quite clumsy. He always has a tendency to get on everyone's nerves. The Irish-American is in the seventh grade of X-Middle School.

Karen Tehama is primarily for forensic responsible and interested in forensics . The Japanese American appears in almost every episode, but acts behind the scenes. She is also the partner of Joseph Anza.

Joseph Anza is mostly responsible for personal security and security . The Italian-American appears in almost every episode, but acts behind the scenes. He is also Karen Tehama's partner.

Dawn S. Folsom is the principal at X-Middle School . She is 39 years old, but celebrates her 40th birthday in the series, and is actually quite calm if the cases are solved immediately and without errors. It is particularly severe when the school facilities are damaged or even destroyed by the team's chases. If there is a case that could damage the reputation of the school, it always gives the security team an ultimatum to dissolve the team if the case is not resolved. She always drives through the school and across the grounds in a limousine with the school's flags hanging over the headlights.

Donald raycliff is something military acting deputy of Dawn S. Folsom . He is very hard-hearted, rarely "emotionally charged," and is consulted by Principal Folsom when she needs a metaphor . Like Cornelius Fillmore , he also wears opaque glasses .

The series was developed by Scott Gimple and produced under the direction of Christian Roman . The band Ookla the Mok composed and played the music. The series was broadcast in the US from September 14, 2002 to January 23, 2004 by ABC in two seasons.

On May 2, 2003, the broadcast began on the Disney Channel in Germany. The series has also been translated into Italian, Polish and Portuguese, among others. With the German translation, it is noticeable that voice actors often synchronize several supporting characters.
