Matthew Mackendree Lanter (born April 1, 1983 in Massillon , Ohio ) is an American film actor , voice actor and model .

Life

Lanter was born in Ohio and grew from the age of eight in Atlanta ( Georgia on). His love for baseball enabled him to become a ball boy for the Atlanta Braves baseball team . Also football and golf were among Lanters hobbies.

After graduating from high school and two years in college , Lanter attended the University of Georgia and became increasingly interested in acting. He moved to Los Angeles , where he initially worked as a photo model and appeared in smaller commercials .

2004 - at the age of 21 - he had his film debut in Bobby Jones - The golf legend alongside James Caviezel . Smaller roles such as in the sitcom Meine wilden Töchter and in the television series Big Love followed, before Lanter had his breakthrough in 2005 with the television series Welcome, Mrs. President , in which he played the son of the US President, which, however, after falling audience ratings a season was canceled.

Afterwards he was seen with guest appearances in various television series, so u. a. in Heroes , CSI: Vegas , Grey's Anatomy, and Monk . He also played the male lead in Disaster Movie . In 2008, he starred in the sequel War Games 2: The Dead Code . His international breakthrough came with the role of Liam Court in Beverly Hills, -90,210 - spin-off 90210 . There he was first seen in the second season as a supporting actor before he was promoted to the lead actor in the third season. He also played the leading roles in the film Love and Ice 3 , Disaster Movie , Beautiful to Death , Beilight - Bis (s) zum Abendbrot and Liars All .

He also spoke the original voice of Anakin Skywalker in the television series Star Wars: The Clone Wars and also lent his voice in the film of the same name Skywalker. In early March 2013, Lanter got the lead role as a novel in The-CW - science fiction - television series Star-Crossed , which has been broadcast on the station since February 2014.

Lanter lives and works in Los Angeles and also lives in Suwanee , Georgia. He married his girlfriend in June 2013, to whom he had become engaged the year before after a three-year relationship. In December 2017, the two parents had a daughter.
