Anneliese Louise van der Pol (born September 23, 1984 in Amsterdam , Netherlands ) is an American actress and singer of Dutch origin.

Life

Anneliese van der Pol was born in Amsterdam , Netherlands , and her family immigrated to the United States a few years later .

Van der Pol began her acting career in the theater in 1990 as a ballet dancer and musical artist . So she danced for example in The Sleeping Beauty , the Little Red Riding Hood and played in a production of The Sound of Music , the girl Brigitta . Other musicals such as Grease or Evita followed. Anneliese van der Pool also had her first film appearance in 2002 in a musical adaptation. In the same year she applied for a role in the Disney series Raven looks through and played there from 2003 to 2007 the Chelsea Daniels on the side of Raven-Symoné Pearman . She also sings the title song “That's So Raven” with the other main actors. Through the role in the television series, the actress gained greater national and international fame. This also brought her further roles and appearances in productions of the Disney Channel such as Horror High , Disney Channel Games or Bratz: The Movie .

In addition to her television career, van der Pol is still on stage. In 2007 she was seen as Belle in a production of the musical Beauty and the Beast .

She also played the role of Jennifer Martin in the Twilight spoof Beilight - Bis (s) zum Abendbrot ( Vampire Suck ), based on the model of Jessica Stanley from the Twilight films. In the original the role is played by Anna Kendrick .
