Christoph Kugelmeier

Christoph Kugelmeier (born May 22, 1965 in Leverkusen ) is a German classical philologist .

Life

Kugelmeier studied classical philology, philosophy, linguistics and Jewish studies at the University of Cologne from 1987 to 1992 . After two years as a doctoral scholarship holder from the German National Academic Foundation , he received his doctorate in 1994 with the dissertation Reflexes of Early and Contemporary Poetry in Old Attic Comedy . From 1995 to 1996 he worked at the Institute for Classical Philology at the Technical University of Dresden , and from 1996 in Potsdam . In 2000 he moved to Saarbrücken as a research assistant at Peter Riemer's chair . He achieved his habilitation in 2002 with the work The Inner Verification of the Stage Play in Seneca's Tragedies ; then he was appointed university lecturer. In the summer semester 2006 he represented in Hamburg the Chair of Dieter Harlfinger , from the summer semester 2008 and winter semester 2009/2010 in Greifswald that of Gregor Vogt-Spira . Since the summer semester 2010, he has held the title of adjunct professor for classical philology at Saarland University.
